Pete’s Famous Chicken Wings

Who doesn’t love crispy chicken wings???  Pete played around for years with different techniques to create a great wing recipe and in the end (and as so often is the case) simplicity rules!

ABSOLUTELY, THE BEST CHICKEN WINGS….EVER!

Pete's Famous Chicken Wings

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 90 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 Family pack Chicken Wings (About 16 wings)
  • Kosher Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper

Step by Step

  1. Rinse wings under cool water an be sure they are patted dry.
  2. Cut into Drumlets and Winglets - or leave whole, depends on your preference (we like them whole). If you leave whole, cut just the skin at the joint between Winglet & Drumlet but not through the joint.
  3. Place , skin side up on baking trays that has 2 layers of parchment paper, shiny side up and has a light coating of Pam or oil.
  4. Give them a generous sprinkling of Salt & Pepper
  5. Bake in upper rack of pre heated 350 degree oven for 1.5 hours
  6. Once cooked, pull from oven and let them sit for a couple of minutes on tray (helps them release easily).
  7. Thats it!
  8. Variation: We have also been making some with a mixture of Sriracha , lemon juice, garlic and ketchup which gets brushed on during the last 20 minutes of cooking for something a little spicy and different.
