Glazed Carrots

Talk about easy & delicious! This wonderful side dish recipe came from Pete’s mom. As a kid, he had “issues” with some vegetables so his mom added a little something extra to the carrots she would often make for family dinner. The result…Pete loved his carrots and we’re pretty sure your kids and family will too!

Sweet Carrots

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Yields: 18


  • 1 lb carrots
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • pepper


  1. Peel carrots, trim ends.
  2. Cut into ¼” thick slices.
  3. Drop into boiling water.
  4. Test after 4 minutes (they still should have a nice firmness... don't over-cook!).
  5. Drain.
  6. In same pan/pot add: butter, olive oil and sugar. (we're all about easy cleanup)
  7. Crank up the heat and return carrots to the pan/pot.
  8. Cook on high heat until carrots show just a hint of brown spots.
  9. Add salt , pepper and serve!
